Comprehensive Evaluation & 3d Imaging

Initial Consultation

Comprehensive Evaluation & 3d Imaging
During your first visit, we take advanced CBCT 3D imaging and review your complete medical and dental history. One of our doctors performs a focused periodontal evaluation to confirm whether you’re a good candidate for dental implants. We then discuss your treatment goals, walk you through your available options, and explain the benefits and considerations of each approach. If you’re ready to take the next step, you can reserve your follow-up appointment and procedure date with a small, stress-free, no-pressure deposit.
STEP 1
STEP 2

Records Appointment

Planning & Custom Smile Design
At this appointment, we finalize the clinical planning for your case. You’ll review and sign consent forms, receive instructions for your prescribed medications, and complete digital scans of your teeth and gums. Together, we design your new smile, selecting the shape, style, and color of your zirconia teeth. Once payment is complete, your records will be sent to our lab to begin creating your customized restoration.

Implant Procedure

Start Your Smile Transformation
When you arrive for your implant procedure, you’ll be kept comfortable with sedation and local anesthesia. If needed, any remaining teeth will be gently removed before placing your dental implants with precision. The digital design process for your restoration begins immediately afterward. An X-ray is taken to verify exact implant positioning. Before leaving, you’ll receive detailed written instructions to guide you through the healing period. The entire appointment typically lasts about three hours.
STEP 3
STEP 4

Smile Try-In

Fit & Aesthetic Approval
The day after surgery, you return for a follow-up appointment. We check your healing progress, examine the implant sites, and ensure everything looks healthy. You’ll receive a custom 3D-printed trial version of your new smile—never a converted denture. These teeth are securely attached and cannot be removed by the patient. If you want any changes in appearance or function, we send updates to the lab and provide an improved version the next day. If everything looks perfect, we move forward with fabricating your final zirconia set.

Zirconia Placement

Delivery of Your Final Set
A few days after your try-in is approved, your final zirconia teeth are ready. During this appointment, the doctor ensures proper fit, alignment, and comfort while checking your healing progress. This visit also activates your 5-year protection plan for both your implants and zirconia restorations. You’ll receive a custom night guard along with care instructions, including a soft-food guide for the first 90 days. This appointment usually takes less than an hour.
STEP 5
STEP 6

90-Day Checkup

Confirming Implant Integration
Three months after your zirconia placement, you’ll return for a follow-up visit to confirm that your implants have fully integrated with the bone. An X-ray is taken to verify proper positioning. Once everything is confirmed, you are typically cleared to return to a regular diet. This visit marks the official completion of your surgical phase.

Annual Maintenance Visit

Keeping Your New Smile Healthy
One year after receiving your zirconia teeth, you will come in for a hygiene and maintenance appointment. During this visit, the doctor evaluates bone levels, implant health, and the condition of your restoration using 3D imaging. Your bridges are professionally cleaned and polished, and the implant sites are thoroughly evaluated. Abutments are retightened, screws are replaced every third removal, and new covers are placed over access holes. The doctor then reviews your oral health and recommends a personalized maintenance plan to ensure long-term success and warranty protection.
  • 3D imaging to evaluate bone levels and implant stability
  • Ultrasonic cleaning and polishing of your implant bridges
  • Thorough assessment and cleaning around each implant site
  • Retightening of abutments to ensure proper support
  • Replacement of prosthetic screws after every three removals
  • New covers placed over all access holes
  • A comprehensive update on your oral health and recommended next steps
STEP 7

Initial Consultation

Gathering Your Medical & Dental Background
Your first consultation at Anchor Dental Implant Center in Austin, TX includes advanced 3D imaging using top-tier CBCT technology. After reviewing your medical and dental history, one of our doctors will conduct a focused periodontal examination to determine if you are a suitable candidate for dental implants. We will then discuss your treatment goals, outline your options, and explain the benefits and potential drawbacks of each approach. If you’re ready to move forward, we can reserve your next appointment and procedure date with a small deposit. No pressure—we want you to feel confident in your choice and welcome you to reach out with any questions at any time.

Records Appointment

Planning and Custom Smile Design
At this visit, we’ll finalize the clinical planning of your case. You’ll review and sign all necessary consent forms, go over your prescribed medications, and complete digital scans of your teeth and gums. Together, we’ll design the appearance of your new smile, selecting the shape, style, and color of your new teeth. Once payment is completed, your records will be sent to our lab to begin creating your personalized restoration.

Implant Procedure

Starting Your Smile Transformation
When you arrive for your implant procedure at Anchor Dental Implant Center, you’ll be kept comfortable with sedation and local anesthesia. If necessary, any remaining teeth will be gently removed. Then, your dental implants will be placed, followed by the beginning stages of the digital restoration process. A post-procedure x-ray will confirm the precise placement of your implants. The entire appointment typically takes around three hours. Before you leave, we will provide you with detailed written instructions so you know exactly what to expect and how to care for yourself during the healing period.

Smile Try-In

Checking the Look and Fit
The day after your procedure, you’ll come back for a follow-up. We'll evaluate your healing progress and inspect the implant sites and sutures. To ensure you’re satisfied with the appearance and feel of your new teeth, we’ll create a custom 3D-printed trial version of your smile, not a converted denture. These will be securely attached and cannot be removed by the patient. If you request changes in appearance or function, we’ll send those updates to our lab and provide you with an updated version the next day. If everything looks and feels just right, we’ll move ahead with fabricating your permanent set in durable zirconia. This visit usually takes less than an hour.

Zirconia Placement

Delivering Your Final Smile
Just a few days after your try-in is approved, we’ll swap out the temporary teeth with your final zirconia set, crafted with precision. The doctor will perform a final check to confirm healthy healing and ensure everything fits properly. This appointment also marks the beginning of your 5-year protection plan, which includes coverage for both your implants and zirconia restorations. You will receive a custom night guard and comprehensive care instructions, including a soft food guide, for the next 90 days. This visit usually takes under an hour.

90-Day Checkup

Confirming Long-Term Success
After three months, you'll return for a follow-up to confirm that your implants have fully integrated. An X-ray will be taken to ensure everything is exactly where it should be. Once verified, you can typically return to a regular diet. This visit marks the official end of the surgical phase, and your new smile is ready for the long haul.

Annual Maintenance Visit

Ongoing Care for Your New Smile
One year after your zirconia restoration is placed, we’ll invite you back for a hygiene and maintenance appointment. Based on your checkup, the doctor will recommend a personalized maintenance plan to keep everything in optimal condition. Your bridges will need to be removed at least once a year for cleaning to maintain warranty coverage. Some patients may be advised to come in more often, depending on home care. The annual maintenance visit includes:
  • 3D imaging to assess bone levels and implant condition
  • Ultrasonic cleaning and polishing of your bridges
  • Evaluation and cleaning around implant sites
  • Retightening of abutments
  • Replacement of prosthetic screws every three removals
  • Fresh covers for the access holes
  • A full update on your oral health and next steps
We can often combine appointments for those traveling from out of town. Additional appointments may be required for new try-ins, and appointment lengths can vary depending on individual needs.
